Outplacement
We specialize in supporting companies, organizations and employees during change resulting from termination.
A company must maintain a positive image – internally as well as externally – even when it’s necessary to terminate employment. Employees deserve an open and honest dialogue and management must be able to create understanding and accept for the inevitable.
For most people, termination means uncertainty with regard to the future. At Dahl & Kjærgaard Outplacement, we start with the individual’s needs and desires. We believe that the responsibility lies in the individual who has been terminated but we support and advise them towards a new future.
We consider the match between the person under notice and the consultant to be crucial and our extensive staff of consultants enables us to match the individual candidate regardless of age or background.
Situation
With individual placement, the employee is assigned a consultant from Dahl & Kjærgaard Outplacement. The consultant functions as a sparring partner, typically for 6, 12, or 18 meetings.
Dahl & Kjærgaard Outplacement has developed individual outplacement programs which are targeted towards various employee groups. In addition, Dahl & Kjærgaard has programs targeted towards skilled workers, middle management and executives. Based on the employee’s profile, we choose the consultant with a relevant background.
This process is confidential and personal counseling and the participants are not at any time gathered in groups.
Program
During this period the consultant and the employee meet at our office. Typically, there is a mix of counseling and home work. The content and breadth of the counseling is adapted to the situation and individual need but will always include:
Foundation
The employee’s professional and personal competencies are exposed and documented in the form of a CV and application materials. Possible development aspects are also revealed. There is the possibility of completing a personality test.
Possibilities
The job possibilities as well as possibilities for career or industry change are discussed. A network process is initiated which builds on the employee’s network. Through this network additional information is obtained that may lead to alternative possibilities.
Action
A wide range of job search activities are initiated including search via the press, unsolicited applications, referrals to potential employers (inplacement) and our existing clients as well as registration in Dahl & Kjærgaard’s career bank.
